Easton Police Department

The Easton Police Department is charged with the enforcement of laws, and the preservation of peace within the Town of Easton.

The Easton Police Department exemplifies what this Town represents – tradition, honor, commitment, strength and innovation. We dedicate ourselves to work in partnership with the community to provide public safety and to improve the quality of life in every neighborhood in the Town of Easton.

The Police Department has a modern police facility including administrative offices, a computerized communication center, and detention area. The police facility has enhanced the operations and professionalism of this agency.

Any new programs have been implemented under the “Community Policing” concept. Several state and federal grants have been awarded to this department which has assisted the funding of new programs and the purchase of some modern police equipment. Some of these programs have included (1) the Seat Belt Safety Awareness Program under the direction of the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation, (2) The Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program funded by the Department of Justice provides funds for the purposes of reducing violent crimes and improving public safety.

Found in the rough hills along the Aspetuck River, the town of Easton was settled by a group of farmers from Fairfield. Today, the town maintains its agricultural roots and rural setting with over twenty working farms, preserved tracts of land and unspoiled streams filled with trout.
